Over half of Australian adults are overweight. Most of it’s due to consuming too many refined carbohydrates found in processed foods like biscuits, cakes and takeaways. They are high in calories, low in fibre, and it turns into fat! Sometimes people are drinking too much alcohol, which is high in sugar, carbohydrates and it turns into fat.
I use a combination of counselling, CBT, hypnosis and Emotional Freedom Techniques to help people develop insight and change their unhealthy behaviours. Sometimes people learn unhealthy eating patterns from their family, or use food to deal with uncomfortable emotions like anxiety or depression. Most of them don’t eat enough fruit or vegetables. The Mediterranean diet has proven to be the best in the world.
Now, it can be a simple issue or more complex. People have the best results when they commit to six or more sessions to lose weight. These sessions can be stretched out to monthly attendance once you are on the right track. You can listen to some of my audios between sessions to accelerate the positive changes.
